My artworks address multiple issues observed nowadays in our society, such as the increasing awareness of the water drought in São Paulo. Another example is the emergence of gender roles – I purposely challenge the limitations of these roles in my handbag artwork.

In addition, the simplistic origin of happiness in our materialistic society is illustrated in my “Sandcastles” artwork. The exploration of this emotion is presented in a sequential manner, depicting the search for happiness in our quotidian life.

The main theme in all of my artworks can be summarized into three words: Life, Death, and Preservation. I have attempted to preserve death that is present in our life through my artworks. Some examples include: inevitable human death, symbolic death, a place that doesn’t exist anymore, etc.
